What they do:
Temperature controllers are used to report the surface or internal temperature of a work surface and through that feedback, send signals to devices that will raise or lower that surface temperature to the desired setting.
Primary types and how they work:
There are two distinct types of temperature sensor systems-contact and non-contact. Primarily non-contact temp controllers use infrared drivers that will sense temperature quickly without the inherent problems of direct contact with a surface. Conversely contact temp controllers literally “touch” the surface and through that contact, transmit the surface temperature to the device.
